Mrs Victoria Hislop, wife of the journalist, satirist, writer, broadcaster and editor of the magazine Private Eye Ian Hislop, gave a keynote speech on her beloved Greek Islands, Space Shuttle astronaut  Donald Alan Thomas, Ph.D , veteran of over 1,000 hours in space was their to promote Florida, whilst over on the Tunisian stand, artist Dar Jilani showed off his incredible artistic skills to amongst others  Modern Romance’s frontman Andy Kyriacou, Ambassador Nabil Ben Khedher and Daily Sport CEO Grant Miller

The most popular stand by far was dedicated to Banksy’s Palestinian hotel “The Walled Off Hotel”, which was stripped bare of anything Banksy related within minutes of the doors opening, resulting in a heavy security team guarding it for the rest of the show!!!

CULTURE CLUB SELL OUT MOTORSPORT ARENA , CARDIFF

The day the WRU beat Austrailia at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff Boy George led his band Culture Club through their 80’s anthem filled set at the Motorsport Arena. The band minus Boy George’s ex Jon Moss who was sacked from the band weeks before the sell out tour started, played hit after hit, along with songs from their latest album ” LIFE “. Musical tributes were paid to George Michael and David Bowie, who George saw in 1972 when he was 11 and cites as changing his life & even a bit of led Zeppelin’s classic “Heartbreaker”

The show was delayed for approx 10 minutes as an electrical fault plunged the stage into darkness just as the band came on stage … Support band s who got the enthusiastic crowd on their feet came from Thompson Twin’s Tom Bailey and the American songstress and ex Go-Go’s lead singer Belinda  Carlisle whose set was just the party starter needed …  All in all a  toe-tapping, arm waving good time had by all…..
