Hot Helen’s high wire hell

Former Corrie actress Helen Flanagan stole the show in more ways than one as the news series of I’m a Celebrity swung into action last night.

The 22-year-old, who played Rosie Webster for 12 years in ITV1’s top soap, repeatedly broke down in tears and first went to pieces when she had to face her fear for heights.

The hit show is notorious for its difficult entrances into the jungle and this year was no different as the Croc Creek team members had to walk across a high wire strung across the jungle canopy.

Helen found herself high above the rainforest perching precariously on the narrow wire, which she had to cross to the other side and into camp, and burst into tears as she became gripped with fear but manged to take tentative steps to make it across to the other side.

A tearful Helen was joined by the rest of the Croc Camp team.  An undeterred Brian Conley walked straight across, whilst Linda Robson fell off the wire and dangled high above the jungle.  But a tear stained Helen, embraced her fears and took .

Her day then went from bad to worse as she struggled to cope with her first night in camp.

After sending temperatures soaring when showing off her curvy figure in a skimpy bikini during a shower in the camp waterfall, she complained to complained to Linda Robson that she heard a rat and screamed that a bug had bitten her face.

Clearly distressed, the actress called for help from the men in camp but they seemed underwhelmed by the damsel in distress.

Linda advised her to leave them to sleep otherwise ‘they will get the hump.’  Helen later added, “People are going to get fed up with me.’

After a difficult night under the stars, Helen was once again unable to hold back the tears. In the Bush Telegraph the actress revealed she may now be sleeping in with fellow actress Charlie Brooks.

“It’s been emotionally draining and bless her poor Charlie I must be doing her head in because I won’t leave her alone. She’s so nice she said ‘you can sleep with me tonight’ so that’s good.

“I’m knackered.  I was here with my sleeping bag standing up thinking ‘oh my God there are rats crawling around my bed and I’ve got to go to sleep.  How do I do this?  I completely freaked out.”

The rats continued to be the topic of conversation in the morning, Boxer David Haye admitted to finding the rats cute, whilst Brian Conley confessed that one nipped his toe.

Charlie Brooks also revealed that her first night in camp was ‘pretty horrendous’ but added, “David woke up and was immediately power squatting.”
