Kemp 11/4 fav to be crowned Celebrity Big Brother king

The 13 strong starting line up for Celebrity Big Brother were revealed last night, and former Spandau Ballet singer Martin Kemp has been installed as the early 3/1 favourite with the bookmakers.

Here’s our guide to the competitors and their latest odds to be crowned King or Queen of the house.

Martin Kemp (11/4 fav, Blue Square)

Former Spandau ballet frontman who enjoyed a number of hits in the 80s with song such as Gold and Through The Barricades.

Since the the 50-year-old has concentrated on an acting career and his most famous role was in cult hit film The Krays.

He went on to play villain Steve Owen in BBC soap EastEnders in which he had regular memorable clashes with Phil Mitchell.

 

Julian Clary (7/2 bet365, Betfred, Paddy Power)

The 53-year-old camp comedian found fame with his cabaret act The Joan Collins Fan Club, accompanied by his pet Fanny the Wonderdog, before going on to host popular shows such as Sticky Moments for Channel 4.

He has appeared as a guest host on Have I Got News For You and as a regular panellist on Radio 4’s Just A Minute.

 

Cheryl Fergison (9/2 bet365, Betfred, Ladbrokes)

Spent five years in Eastenders as Heather Trott before being killed off earlier this year by Ben Mitchell.

Since leaving the show the 48-year-old has appeared on shows including Loose Women and Come Dine With Me.

 

Coleen Nolan (13/2 bet365)

Singer turned TV presenter who sold millions of records with her sisters as The Nolans. Their most well known hit was I’m In The Mood For Dancing which reached number 3 in the charts.

The 47-year-old mother-of-three, who was married to EastEnders actor Shane Richie, is now a regular on Loose Women and ITV’s This Morning.

 

Julie Goodyear (14/1 bet365, Hills)

Better known as barmaid Bet Lynch who served pints at the Rover’s return in Coronation Street for over a quarter of a century.

The 70-year-old a quit the show in 1995 and was awarded an MBE for her services to TV drama. She has gone on to take part in a number of TV shows including  Celebrity Fit Club and Come Dine With Me.

 

MC Harvey (14/1 bet365)

Former So Solid Crew star who had a number one hit with 21 Seconds.

The 33-year-old was married to Strictly’s Alesha Dixon, but that all ended in tears when it emerged he had been having an affair with singer Javine Hylton.

 

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (25/1 generally available)

Became a household name in the US after starring in the reality show Jersey Shore.

The 30-year-old former model hit the headlines last year when it was reported that fashion label Abercrombie & Fitch had offered to pay him not to wear its clothes over fears that he was causing “significant damage” to its image.

 

Ashley McKenzie (28/1 bet365)

Judo star who has won World Cup titles and took part in this year’s Olympic’s for TM GB.

Since then, the 23-year-old, from Willesden, north London,  and fought at London 2012.

Featured in a BBC documentary, called The Bad Boy Olympian, which looked at his struggles with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and his spell in a young offenders’ institution.

 

Prince Lorenzo Borghese (28/1 bet365)

Comes from an Italian noble family and is said to descend from Pope Paul V.

The 40-year-old is best known in the US as the star of the ninth series of The Bachelor, and is now a cosmetics entrepreneur.

 

Rhian Sugden (40/1 Hills)

Busty glamour girl has modelled for magazines such as Loaded, Zoo and Nuts, as well as posing topless for Page Three.

The 25-year-old, from Bury, is best known for exchanging saucy text messages with presenter Vernon Kay.

Danica Thrall (40/1 bet365)

The 24-year-old underwear model got her first break eight years ago when she was named Miss Derbyshire. Ha since appeared on the cover of FHM, Loaded and Nuts and recently starred in the Channel 4 documentary called Sex Lies And Rinsing Guys.

 

Jasmine Lennard (50/1 generally available)

Shot to fame as contestant on Channel Five’s Make Me A Supermodel, and after being booted off in the early stages went on to host a spin-off show until getting chucked-off for being abusive to one of the judges

Claims to have had a fling with Simon Cowell and is bisexual. Has warned that she is a bitch of the highest order and will not put up with any flack from fellow contestants.

 

Samantha Brick (50/1 generally available)

The former TV executive became known when she wrote in a column about herself in the Daily Mail, headlined: “There are downsides to looking this pretty. Why women hate me for being beautiful.”

In it, the 40-year-old moaned about how tough her life had been because she was so pretty and claimed other women were jealous of her looks.
