I caught up this week with Pritchard from Dirty Sanchez in between him being in Ibiza and all over here is what he had to say
1. What name would you like us to refer to you as? Pritchard
2. Where are you from? Cardiff
3. Age? 39
4. What do you have for tattoos and how many hours have you put into them?
Christ almighty where do I start. I’ve had hours and hours put into them over the years but I couldn’t say precisely. I had my first one many years ago on the top of my right arm saying WALES as we were off to a skateboard competition with a gang of Welsh boys so had it done for a laugh for £5. My second one was my name written on my lower back with a dragon coming up from my name to my top right shoulder. That was basically the start of my tattooing and I never looked back. Almost all of my tattoos represent my life and the things I have done in my life. I suppose you could say my body is like my autobiography. As I write this I’m about to go and get my leg tattooed from my left knee down with an Ibizan theme from my summer in Ibiza this year doing my SWYD boat parties. I don’t regret any one of my tattoos and I won’t when I’m 60 either.
5. Any piercings? I’ve had a pierced nose many years ago plus I did my tongue but took that out as it wrecked my teeth. I’m not really into peircings
6. How did you get your started in your industry? I never tried really it just happened through a skateboard video myself and Dainton did 10 years ago called Pritchard v Dainton. From there we got offered Dirty Sanchez and the roller coaster ride begun. There have been many, many good times and I’ve travelled the world thanks to it but at the same time there is a lot of evil in the industry but you just have to block that out and enjoy the good. My advice to anyone entering this industry…….be careful, take the compliments that get poured down your throat constantly but remember they have other plans.
7. How long have you been in the business? 10 years
8. What are some of your past projects? Dirty Sanchez MTV, Balls of Steel Channel 4, Wrecked MTV, Sanchez Gets High MTV, XFM South Wales radio show, etc
9. Do you have any upcoming projects? Yes I have many but some I have to keep quiet. I have my SWYD boat parties in Ibiza which went off this summer so I’m now planning next years boats along with doing them on other holiday islands.
10. What type of music do you listen to and who is your favourite band or artist? I listen to all kinds of music; I’m not fussy at all. Big fan of dance music and heavy metal but my fave band is Queen. Long live Freddie Mercury
11. What are some of your hobbies? Skateboarding, swimming, cycling, running, drinking, partying. I enjoy entering Ironman triathlons too.
12. Are you into video games? Which system(s) and favourite games? No not really. Yes, if I’m killing time travelling on my iPhone but to sit indoors in front of a TV when I could be outside exploring on my bike, skateboard or running is a no can do for me. I totally believe we should be advertising more sport to our younger generation rather than something which involves sitting in front of a screen.
13. Favourite sports and who is your favourite teams? All of the above. My fave footy team is Cardiff City Bluebirds
14. Favourite type of movie and favourite all-time movie? Forest Gump. I find I can relate to the film a great deal. Twin Town for great Welsh comedy. These 2 films I must have watched over a 100 times each
15. Favourite type of food and favourite meal? Being a chef by trade I love food. Sushi has to be the one that does it for me along with Thai and Mediterranean cuisine
16. Favourite alcoholic drink? Anything, just chuck it down my neck
17. Who are your heroes or who do you look up to? Freddie Mercury, Lemmy Killmister, Danny Way, Tony Hawk and Lance Armstrong.
18. Measurements? What???? I never measure myself unless I have to get a suit for a funeral or wedding.
19. Craziest, wildest, or kinkiest place you’ve ever had sex? Let’s just say I’m not shy when it comes to having sex. I once shagged a woman dressed up in a kinky nurse’s outfit in the middle of a Slayer mosh pit at Birmingham NEC, someone noticed so they made a big circle around us and cheered us on then we went back into the mosh pit and got stuck in. I also shagged my sky dive teacher in Australia at 15,000ft before we jumped, the pilot had an eye full.
20. Do you prefer to make love or f**k? F**K
21. Favourite sexual position? Not bothered, I’m game for anything. I’d be happy on top of the wardrobe
22. Biggest turn on and biggest turn off? Turn on: 5 or more fit women wanting to rape me. Turn off: 5 or more 20 stone women wanting to rape me
23. Have you ever had group sex (threesome, foursome, etc)? Yep, quite a few times. That’s one of the positive sides of fame I suppose.
