Lorraine Chase got reduced to tears in the I’m A Celeb jungle as Pat Sharp joked about kidnapping her beloved teddy bear Tedward and burning it at the stake.
‘She’s not four years old, she’s 60 and she wraps it up and puts it to bed. I don’t get it. There is no room in here for nice a person, that’s naff, saccharine, sweet, ” said Pat as he sat around the camp fire with Dougie, Jessica-Jane, Mark and Crissy.
“The bear has got to go. I’m going to kidnap it and tear it’s arms and legs off and burning it on the stake, ” joked bored Pat.
“Her teddy is called Tedward, given the choice I would strangle Tedward over Jedward – that makes you realise how angry I am.”
“No, you can’t do that” said a firm Jess as the camp mates were concerned that Lorraine would overhear his plans for her beloved bear.
A concerned Crissy then went into the Bush Telegraph, “I’m worried about Lorraine’s bear and all the laughing & joking about it. I know she’s nearly 60 years old but if anything happens to that bear I don’t want to be a part of it” said a worried Crissy.
“I think the jokes gone too far with words like kidnapping, god love Lorraine, she absolutely loves that bear” said Crissy.
“Lorraine has feelings, she’s 60 years old, they should have some respect for that” said Crissy.
Crissy ended by saying, “If they take the bear or do something stupid I will go really mad”.
The group then convinced pat to go and apologise to Lorraine and tell her it was all a joke.
But the earful ex-Emmerdale actress was having none of his apologies and oltd him where to go in no uncertain terms.
Earlier in the day it had been Sinitta who had been the target of Pat after he claimed that she was “milking her fears”.
He was left fuming following the live trial which saw a terrified 80s pop star win five stars for the 12 hungry celebrities. “It pisses me off and I don’t give a flying f*** anymore. Whatever phobia you have we know that these (creatures) will not hurt you so when you are the turn just get in there and do what they want you to do. If you come out being all scary just to get in the papers or whatever, then that is pathetic, ” stormed Pat.
“I think there’s a bit of ‘ooooh look at me’, she’s not stupid, and she knows how the world works. She’s milking it. She might have tried her best but it just wasn’t good enough, it’s about mentality, you are either strong minded or you are not. I would not enjoy any of the things she’s had to endure but I would still not look like a moron doing them.
“She looks ridiculous. She’s wimping around on this show, ” he added.
The public later voted pat to do his first Bushtucker Trial — the Head Trip.
It involves having bugs crawling over his face.
He claimed he had been vicious to Sinitta and Lorraine Chase to make viewers vote for him so he could get meal stars so the starving camp could eat.
He said: “It worked! It was my plan all along. I’m going to do something. At last!”
