Move over celebs Darts Has Got Talent

The biggest names in darts begin their quest to top the music charts this weekend with the release of the charity song ‘Got My Ticket For The Darts’, which has been recorded with rockney legend Chas Hodges.

The catchy tune is being released on Sunday to in aid of the Haven House Children’s Hospice in Essex, and sees Chas teaming up with the stars of the McCoy’s Premier League Darts – including 15-time World Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor – to celebrate the current popularity of the sport.

Over 90,000 fans have attended this season’s Premier League, which concludes at The O2 in London next Thursday with the Play-Offs, and will see ‘Chas & The Premier League Boys’ performing the song on stage.

“We had great fun filming the video and the money raised is going to a fantastic cause,” said Taylor.

“It would be incredible to think that we can get the song into the Top 40 or even the Top Ten – it would be one of the proudest moments of my career!

“We’ve had over 90,000 fans come to the Premier League in the last few months who’ve heard it played in the arenas, and I hope they now go and buy the song to help out Haven Hospice.”

Taylor is joined in the video by fellow stars Adrian Lewis – the current World Champion – Raymond van Barneveld, Simon Whitlock, James Wade, Andy Hamilton, Kevin Painter and Gary Anderson, while PDC Chairman Barry Hearn also makes a cameo appearance.

The song’s release on Sunday, when it will be available via iTunes and for just 99p, will bring back memories of Hearn’s previous collaboration with Chas & Dave, when they released the hit ‘Snooker Loopy’ in 1986.
