The Risk are now the new clear favourites to win this year’s X Factor at 5/2 – replacing Janet Devlin at the head of the betting for the first time since the competition began.
Devlin is now out to 11/4 having been the bookies favourite from day 1 of the auditions.
The 16-year-old Irish singer has mesmerised the public and the judges with her stunning performances, and Beyonce believes she has what it takes to go all the way.
The pop star, who sang on the show in 2008 with winner Alexandra Burke, is paying close attention to this year’s X Factor as her best friend and fellow Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland is a judge and Devlin’s mentor.
She believes that Devlin and Misha B have outstanding chances of winning the latest series.
‘Janet is very sweet, I can see the public becoming very endeared towards her and picking up the phone.
There is something very endearing about Janet, but there is something very special about Misha and from what I have heard from Kelly she is just going to get better and better,” she said.
However the bookies are keen to take on both, and The Risk’s stunning performance last weekend mean that they are now as short as 2/1 in places to emerge victorious.
