A Cosi Win At Huntingdon – Hopefully

With the sun still shining where I am it seems strange to acknowledge that we are close to the time where National Hunt takes centre stage in my thoughts, but with so many maidens out to gain experience at the end of the Flat season it can become a bit of a minefield.

Therefore my first bet today runs over hurdles at Huntingdon when “Shark” Hanlon sends Cosimeasy over the Irish sea to take in the maiden at 2.37pm.

The winner of a point-to-point at Stradbally on his latest start in May 2024, he was sold on for a bargain 17,000 Euros shortly after – and the disappeared from the racing map.

There is enough speed in his pedigree to suggest the two and a half miles or so won’t be too short for him, and although we have to take his fitness on trust, his hander is as shrewd as they get and would not be sending him over if he didn’t have a decent chance.
