I am leaving York alone today and focussing my attentions elsewhere starting this afternoon at Ffos Las when I like the look of Must Be Ten ahead of the 2.45pm over seven and a half furlongs.
I am rather hoping recent winners Lost Signal and Magnatura head the betting, but they have to give 7lb and 3lb respectively to Jamie Osborne’s son of Ten Sovereigns and that could be a big ask.
Second on his only start at Brighton, what could go wrong did go wrong with a slow start after which he was slightly hampered before running green and looking as if he failed to handle the south coast undulations, yet somehow he ran on powerfully late on to be beaten less than five lengths at the line.
Sure to have learned plenty from that experience, the added furlong and half here looks very much in his favour, and if he adds to that he could come home alone under the excellent and sometimes underrated Saffie Osborne.
