It’s a real shame that a maximum of seven will go to post for the Relkeel Hurdle over two and a half miles at 3.15pm as I am convinced Langer Dan has an excellent chance of hitting the top three home for each way punters.
The highest rated runner here by 11lb, and best in at these weights by 7lb, he looked as if his return would do him good when third at Newbury over three miles where he weakened late on.
Dropped back to the sort of trip he has won over three times, he came home five lengths in front of Lucky Place when winning the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival in March, is 6lb better off with that rival here, yet my suggestion trades at 13/2 or so while Nicky Henderson’s horse is the 3/1 favourite.
No good thing here at the age of none, at least you can see why I think he is good value now, and I will be backing him each way even though we only get paid out for first and second.
