Kempton fully expect to go ahead barring any further significant rain I will be watching the markets like a hawk ahead of the opening maiden hurdle at 12.52pm.
I suspect Onefournine will start at the head of the market after only being beaten a neck last time out, but she is not the only one with form and I prefer to look for some each way value.
Lady Magic was sorely temping though her stamina remains in question, and in the end I have come down on the side of Our Peggy. Joe Tizzard’s mare won her point-to-point at Tattersalls Farm by 10 lengths but I confess her hurdling debut was poor when she was beaten a long long way at Taunton to finish last of six.
She pulled far too hard to ever see her race out that day and I for one am putting a line through it, and if she settle here in a first-time hood we may see a totally different performance.
