With the all-weather failing to inspire me this afternoon we are off to Huntingdon where Limier d‘Arthel looks worth a second glance ahead of the maiden hurdle at 12.58pm.
The six-year-old gelding was bought out of the Emmanuel Clayeux stable by J P McManus after he had taken a Moulins bumper by nine lengths with plenty in hand in April 20204 – and he hasn’t been seen since.
The betting may well be a pointer to his chances ahead of his return with the Hobbs and White stable in good form, and if he is fit and ready to roll I can see him winning this with bigger targets to come later in the season.
