Bought for £40,000 after winning a point-to-point at Ballysteen, it came as no big shock to see the son of Mount Nelson find two miles too sharp for him on his hurdling bow when he finished fourth at Huntingdon, beaten six and a half lengths after being outpaced close home.
Upped to over two and a half miles this afternoon he can bring his stamina into play if he takes to the tight track, and give his Lambourn trainer yet another winner for the season.
