Once Raced Winner Could Upset The Likely Favourite

A horrendous time of year for us punters with the jumps season coming to an end, the Flat season yet to kick into top gear, and a lack of knowledge of who is or isn’t race fit has seen a lot of odds-on shots beaten in the last week or so.

That said, it was hard not to like the performance of Westport on his debut at Lingfield last month where George Boughey’s son of Blue Point only needed to be pushed out to win by a length and a quarter.

He is up against the equally impressive Crimson Rose for Charlie Appleby which is a huge concern, but he ought to have the race fitness advantage mentioned earlier, and if we can get 4/1 or bigger than each way could be the way to play him here.
