Just the two cards to look though in the UK this afternoon but if we get lucky we could still have a winner or three. Exeter rarely put on a bad card and despite some smaller than hoped for fields, I will be backing Pottersville to small stakes in the 12.51pm for trainer Rebcca Curtis where I would not be surprised at all to see her backed in the morning.
The daughter of Ocovango won a Clonmel bumper over two and a half miles by eight lengths on her one start in Ireland but debuted over hurdles at Newbury over the minimum trip where she was run off her feet before coming home a well-beaten eleventh.
Upped to a furlong shy of three miles here, I am hopeful she can put that disappointing run behind her with stamina seemingly her forte, and although we only get paid out for first and second, I’ll have a pound or two each way.
