Sam Twiston-Davies Can Hopefully Get A Tune Out Of Bolero

Not the easiest of days to be a punter but I am hoping for a lot more from David Bridgwater’s No More Bolero when he lines up at Huntingdon for the maiden hurdle due off at 2.30pm.

Three times a winner on the Flat in France for his previous handler, he debuted over hurdles at Sandown when he ran well for a long way before weakening late on to finish a well-beaten fifth.

Stamina was not the issue as he had run well over trips up to two and a half miles on the Flat, but the lack of a run since September last year may have told in the closing stages as he weakened late on. Sure to strip fitter now, he should have learned from that experience, and with every chance of an each way price, that is the way I will be playing him this afternoon.
