It looks as if there will be plenty of pace in the Newcastle 1.20pm with both Buddah Castle and Eagles Reprieve liking to make the running and Le Beau Madrik happy enough to sit up near the pace throughout.
All three are decent horses in their own right, but I just get the feeling that Dan Skelton’s five-year-old may see the race pan out ideally. Upped in trip after staying on over two furlongs shorter for a length win here at odds-on in late November, Tristan Durrell will hopefully be able to sit in behind the front-runners early on before using his turn of foot to put the race to bed late on.
