The Moore The Merrier At Fontwell – Again

I remain confused as to why we have had no turf Flat racing since Sunday but we deal with what they put in front of us and we are still finding plenty of winners (which is the main thing).

Regular readers will know by now that I look for Gary Moore horses at both Fontwell and Plumpton, and today is no different with the stable sending five to the first named this afternoon. I have gone for perhaps the riskiest option in the bumper that closes the card at 4.52pm when David Noonan keeps the ride on Lightning Macqueen – but did stable jockey Niall Houlihan have the choice – and opt for newcomer Pearl’s Pirate?

A son of Black Sam Bellamy out of a maiden mare, I am a little surprised to see him debuting over this shorter trip with stamina likely to be his long-term forte, but if all eight stand their ground we may yet have an each way option here.
