Tizzard Newcomer Could Surprise

I remain a big fan of Wincanton racecourse, a stern but fair test of the thoroughbred and a track that regularly attracts a higher class of combatant than you may find elsewhere, even for a mid-week meeting.

This afternoon is no exception and I am certainly hoping for a big effort from the long absent Hadrianus who makes his long awaited debut over hurdles in the 1.30pm over two and a half miles.

Trained by Joe Tizzard, he was way above average on the Flat with a peak rating of 104 after finishing second in the Listed Epsom Derby trail back in 2023, and although we have to be concerned about an absence of over two years, his stable are capable enough of having him ready if he is good enough to start his new career.
