Witch Horse Can Go Close At Deauville?

I am almost forced over to France for my last bet this Sunday and the Group One Prix Rothschild over a mile from Deauville at 3.40pm.

The Irish and the Brits are well represented with seven of the 13 runners, but I will be turning to Francis Henri Graffard once more, who has three runners with Matilda the most intriguing.

Previously in the hands of Yasmin Almenrader in Germany, the daughter of Soldier Hollow stepped up from her debut sixth with two wins at Cologne, the latest when running away with the Group Two German 2000 Guineas by six and a half lengths!

I admit the value of that form is unknown to me and may not be anywhere near as good as it looked at first glance, but she gets 7lb from her older rivals and is back amongst her own sex here making her a sensible if not guaranteed option under Maxime Guyon.
