Bride wants honeymoon in Liverpool if Stags pull off FA Cup shocker

Mansfield manager Paul Cox’s bride Natasha is after a honeymoon in Liverpool….if her birthday boy husband can get a draw against the Premiership Reds.

Speaking at her wedding reception – where FA Cup betting partner William Hill took the trophy for a photo opportunity, Natasha, 33, said: ‘I must be the only bride to have been overshadowed by a silver trophy.

‘One minute I was posing for pictures and the next minute everyone was off in the corner of the marquee – I had no idea the FA Cup was coming to the wedding.

‘I’ve told Paul I’ll be happy to have the honeymoon in Liverpool if we can hold them to a draw and get the return leg at Anfield on the following Wednesday.’

William Hill are shortest about the draw in the match this afternoon- which comes on Cox’s 41st birthday – going 4-1 with Mansfield 14-1 to win and Liverpool a skinny 1-4.

And the bookmakers William Hill conscious that Mansfield, nicknamed the Stags, will have had a virtually alcohol free wedding celebration and stag do in the run up to the big game are promising to pay for a night to remember in Liverpool if the lower league underdogs can get the replay.

William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny said: ‘The team spirit at Mansfield is tremendous and they’d certainly deserve a real Stag do in Liverpool if they could manage to get a replay at Anfield.   ‘And if they do that we will ensure they have a proper celebration after the game.’
