Conned-cillored out of Car and 5 Grand

Tamworth Labour councilor Ken Norchi was conned by a Nigerian woman he met on Facebook after he accepted her friend request which stated she was looking for romance, but once accepted she told him that her parents had died and that their land had been sold for $37 million and she need his help to get her cash into the UK.

Over a period of the next year and half she got him to part with cash to help her progress the transaction which ended in him borrowing over £5k and selling his car.

In the end he became suspicious when he was asked for more money from a man who called him and he informed police who found he’d be the victim of one of the oldest scams on the internet know as the “419 Scam” in Nigeria after the law bough in to combat it or Ho-Jacking as we like to call it.

In the past your Daily Sport have been contacted by Nigerian conmen and conwomen claiming to be everyone from Gordon Brown to Paris Hilton needing help to get their funds into the UK.
