Leskinfere looks on a a potentially handy mark and worth an each-way punt at 12/1 in the 4.20 at Carlisle today.

Oliver Greenalls’ charge has only had four runs under rules and shaped really nicely on the sceond of those when staying on under tender handling to finish a never nearer 17 length fourth of 12 to Uppertown Prince at Bangor.

The winner has scored again since to be rated 140, the third gome El Presente is rated 128, and the fifth home Luckme has won twice since to be rated 124.

Leskinfere backed that up with another eye-cathing effort when a keeping on 8 1/2 lenthy third of nine to the 130-rated Noble Robin at Wetherby. He had yje 122-rated Silva Eclipse just 1 1/2 lengths in front of him in second.

He was allotted an opening handicap mark of 114 on the back of those runs but failed to live up to expectations when well-backed and finishing seveneth of 13 to Aaron lad at Market Rasen.

Leskinfere has since had win surgery and now returns to action off 1lb lower. His revised rating looks exploitable judged on the aformentioned efforts in novice company and he hails from a uard that has a 22 per cent strike rate at the track in the past 12 months.

With Sean Bowen in the saddle, he looks weightef to make his presence felt in this.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Leskinfere (10/1 bet365, Betfair – BOG)
