10/1 Brockfield weighted to strike for Brittain

Brockfield is down to a dangerous mark and looks worth siding with at 10/1 in the 5.15 at Nottingham today.

Mel Brittain’s charge is yet to fire in two runs this season, but his mark has continued to fall as a result and he now takes a drop in grade and gets fitted with the visor for the first time.

The eight-year-old was last successful in a class 5 contest Doncaster back in October 2012 off a mark of 67, and ran some solid races to be placed on several occasions last year in the same grade off that rating.

He now gets into this off 63, 4lb lower than when registering his last success, and drops into class 6 company for the first time.

That gives him major cliams on the pick of his form, and another plus is that he has won over course and distance.

With David Allan in the saddle everything looks in place for a huge run, and at the odds on offer he looks overpriced and good each-way value.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Brockfield (10/1 BetVictor – BOG)
