More Drama has been shaping as if crying out for a step up in trip and makes plenty of appeal at 10/1 now getting it in the 7.50 at Wolverhampton this evening.
Sylvester Kirk’s filly has only had four starts, and has caught the eye in her last two runs at Kempton when doing good late work.
In the first of those over 6f she was slowly into stride and quickly found herself well behind before staying on to finish a never nearer sixth of 11 to Invincible Gold under tender handling.
More Drama was allotted an opening handicap mark of 51 on the back of that effort, and ran far better than her final finishing position suggests when sixth of 11 to Father Stone over 7f at the Sunbury-on-Thames venue.
The daughter of Thewayyouare found herself at the rear of the field after being short of room at the start but then made good headway two from home to chase the leaders and stayed on to beaten just over 4 lengths without being unduly knocked about.
It was an effort which suggested that More Drama should be capable of picking up a race, and the step up to 1m 1f in this looks sure to suit.
The handicapper has also quickly dropped More Drama 2lb to a mark of just 49, and with her last two runs suggesting that she should have more to offer she looks weighted to run a huge race in the hands of Liam Keniry.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way More Drama (10/1 Betfred, BetVictor, Paddy Power, Sky Bet, William Hill – BOG)
