12/1 Esteaming the November Handicap punt

Esteaming was a big eye-catcher last time out and looks decent each-way value at 12/1 in the November Handicap at Doncaster today (3.30).

David Barron’s charge is on a long losing run having not scored since landing a 1m 2f contest on soft ground at Newcastle back in April 2014 off a mark of 85.

However, Esteaming  has run a numer of solid races to make the frame off higher marks including when runner-up at Haydock off 91 and third of 15 to Wadi At Hattawi ay York back in July off 92.

He is now able to race off 88, just 3lb higher than when last successful, and comescomes into the contest on the back of three solid efforts.

In the last of those over course and distance, Esteaming ran much better than the final finishing position suggests when seventh of 11 to Argus who was ante post favourite for this before scoping badly and being pulled out.

After being held-up at the rear, Esteaming was making good headway when denied a clear run a furlong from home and after being forced to switch stayed on well to be nereast at the finish and beaten just 2 1/2 lengths.

There is no doubt in my mind that he would have gone close granted a clear passage, and with underfoot conditions to suit he looks weighted to run a huge race off an unchanged mark.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Esteaming (12/1 geneeally availalbe – use BOG firms, bet365 paying enhanced place terms 1,2,3,4,5)
