13/2 Island Heights makes plenty of appeal at Musselburgh

Island Heights runs Musselburgh well and scored in good style last time out so looks worth a bet at 13/2 in the 2.45 there today.

The Lucinda Russell trained nine-year-old has won twice and been placed once in three starts over course and distance.

In the last of those successes 33 days ago he showed a willing attitude to dig deep and beat Tokaramore by 2 1/4 length off a makr of 119.

A 3lb rise for that looks more than fair and a revised rating of 122 is still 3lb lower than when previously successful at Haydock back in November 2015.

Island Heights ran well after that off 130 when fourth to Baywing at the same veniue and also when occupying the same position behind Definitly Red in a class 2 ar Carlisle off 129.

Those efforts entitle him to be very competitive at the weights in this on the pick of his form and Blair Campbell also now takes over in the saddle and takes off a handy 5lb with his claim.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Island Heights (13/2 generally available – se BOG firms)
