13/2 Street fancied to Power home

Street Power is back down to his last winning mark and looks decent value at 6/1 to take advantage and land the 4.40 at Kempton today.

Jeremy Gask’s charge has caught the eye in two starts this year after 145 days on the sidelines, most notably when a not knocked about 6th of 8 to Yeeoow over course and distance on the first occasion.

Held-up that day at the rear on the inside, he made good headway two from home to press the leaders at the furlong marker before weakening inside the final 100 yards to be beaten just under 4 lengths as lack of race fitness took its toll.

He then wasn’t given a hard time last time out over 7f here when never placed to challenge in a 7f contest won by Twenty Once Choice, and he should now be spot on to do himself justice.

The eight-year-old has certainly been given a chance by the handicapper who has been quick to drop him another 2lbs since his last run to 77 and he is now back down to the rating which saw him register his last success over 6f in a class 3 contest at Ascot last July.

He ran on strongly that day to beat Ladyship by a nose, and the form looks strong in the context of this class 4 contest.

Another plus is that he runs this track well and is two from four over course and distance, and everything looks in place for a huge run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 4pts win Street Power (13/2 BetVictor – BOG)
