14/1 Has Every Chance at Beverley

Get in tune with Singzak at 14/1

Singzak is an unexposed type who looks certain to land a handicap before the season is out and makes plenty of each-way appeal at 14/1 in the 2.55 at Beverley.

Mick Easterby’s gelding showed plenty of promise in three maiden runs without troubling the judge, and put in a real eye-catching effort on his handicap debut over 1m 2f at Pontefract two starts ago when failing by 3/4 of a length to catch Bettereas Bertie.

He ran on really strongly that day after having to be switched at a crucial stage to thrown down a challenge, and had a few decent types behind – including Flying Power who won in good style earlier in the week.

The way in which he stayed on suggested that today’s trip of 1m 4f would not be a problem, and I don’t subscribe to the fact that he failed to stay it when last of four to Lordofthehouse at Haydock on his latest start.

I think that the small field, lack of early pace, and the fact he raced too freely because he was unable to get any cover resulted in the below par effort, and today’s race should be run to suit him far better.

It will be interesting to see if the money arrives for him this morning given his shrewd connections, but I can’t resist backing him at the 14/1 currently on offer with bet365.

In my eyes he is definitely capable of exploiting his current mark, and is one to keep on the right side until the end of the season.

Recommended bet: 2pts each-way Singzak (14/1 bet365 – BOG)
