14/1 Minella Bliss worth a wager at Worcester

Minella Bliss is potentially well-treated in the 2.20 at Worcester today and looks overpriced at 14/1.

The gelding was rated as high as 114 over hurdles and was sent off the 2/1 favoruite when finishing third on his chasing debut behind Health Is Wealth last August off 90.

He now gets into this off just 84, his lowets ever rating over hurdles or fences, and that gives him a big shout at the weights.

The nine-year-old has not been seen under rules since last October, but has been placed in two starts in point-to-points this year.

If those runs have freshened him up, then there is little doubt that he is very well weighted if he can run to anywhere near his best form – despite being officially 5lb oiut of the weights.

The booking of Tom Scudamore is certainly a plus, and with underfoot conditions fine, Minella Bliss makes plenty of each-way appeal in what is a weak looking class 4 contest.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Minella Bliss (14/1 BetVictor, Boylesports, Coral, Hills, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power – BOG)
