Plymouth Sound looks nicely treated on the pick of his form and worth siding with at 14/1 in the 7.00 at Windsor this evening.

Eve Johnson Houghton’s gelding won on debut as a juvenile, and ran very well first time up lat season when a staying on third to Mutarakez in the class 2 Esher Cup at Sandown off a mark of 87.

The four-year-old also ran well after a break to be third at Salisbury off 85, and is now able to race in this class 4 contest off 84.

That gives him every chance at the weights, especially on his run in the Esher Cup, and given his good record fresh first time up could well be the time to catch him.

The stable is also in decentt nick at present, and the booking of Robert Winston catches the eye as he has a 30% strike rate when teaming up with the yard in the past 12 months.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Plymouth Sound (14/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
