14/1 Storyline can run her rivals ragged at Redcar

Storyline is drawn to attack in the 4.00 at Redcar today and makes plenty of appeal at 14/1.

Tim Easterby’s filly shaped with promise in maidens, most notably when fourth to subsequent Nunthorpe winner G Force at Newcastle, before duly improving when going handicapping and scoring on debut over course and distance.

The daughter of Kodiac showed blistering early pace to make all and win easing down by 2 1/4 lengths from Scoreline off a mark of 58, and then ran a solid race to finish fourth to Dancing Julie off a revised rating of 65 – again over course and distance.

Storyline then found soft ground againt her when running well below form at Ffos Las, but has since posted creditable efforts at this venue  and Musselburgh without troubling the judge.

She now gets into this off just 5lb higher than when last successful, and given the manner of the victory she should be capable of winning races off 63.

Another big plus is that she has bagged a high draw in stall 14, and if banging out in good style she could prove extremely difficult to peg back in the hands of Duran Fentiman.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Storyline (14/1 BetVictor, Stan James – BOG)
