14/1 Yeeoow too well-treated to ignore at Kempton

Yeeoow has dropped to a dangerous mark and looks worth siding with at 14/1 in the 3.25 at Kempton today now fitted with the cheekpieces for the first time.

The Karl Burke trained gelding is on a long losing run having noyt scored since landing a competitive 15-runner handicap at Ascot back in May 2013 off a mark of 90.

However he did run a number of solid races to be placed last year, including when runner-up to Goldream in a 21-runner class 2 handicap at Newmarket off 90 and third to Golden Steps at Doincaster off 93.

The six-year-old is now able to race off just 84, and also has the services of Joey Haynes in the saddle whose claim takes another 3lb off his back.

That makes him extremely well weighted on the pick of his form, and although he disappointed last time out at Chelmsford City that track has an awful surface and should never have been reopened and I am more than prepared to put a line through that run.

Yeeow is also a dual course and distance winner, and I have always thought that the fitting of some headgear would be a plus.

He gets that today, and in a race which should suit looks too well treated to ignore at the odds on offer.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Yeeoow (14/1 bet365, PaddyPower, Stan James, William Hill – BOG)
