Reflektor is back down to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 15/2 in the 3.55 at Wolverhampton today. This Tom Dascombe trained six-year-old is a course and distance winner who won two of his five starts last year. In the first of those at Lingfield he made all and held on gamely to beat Boom The Groom by a head in a class 3 off a mark of 90. He then put in a similar display next time up here in a class 2 when bravely holding on by a head from Atletico off a rating of 92.

Reflektor went on to round off the campaign with a solid 2 3/4 length fourth of 11 to Amomentofmadness in a competitive class 2 at Chester off 95 after which he was on the sidelines for 19 days. He has had just three starts this year and ran well in the second of those at Lingfield when a 1 1/4 length fourth of six to Alsvinder in a class 3 off 82. Although he failed to back that up when eighth of nine here last time out, that was a class 2 and he has quickly been dropped 2lb to 89 and now reverts to class 3 company in which he has a 23 per cent strike rate. His current mark is lower than that of his last three wins, so on the pick of his for he holds leading claims from a handicapping perspective. Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Reflektor (15/2 Betfair, Paddy Power – BOG)
