Englishman looks weighted to go well on his belated Tapeta debut in the 6.50 at Wolverhampton today and worth an each-way play at 16/1.
This Milton Bradely trained nine-year-old landed back-to-back class 4 contests last year at Windsor and Gooodwood, scoring off marks of 77 and 79 respectively.
He also ran very well in a class 3 at Neamarket whne a neck runner-up to Ice Lord off 50.
The veteran has been hit and miss this year, but did run well when a 3 1/2 length third to Rawayyat at Lingfield in July off 63 and when a 1 1/2 length third at Chelmsford on his penultimate outing off 55.
Enlgishman is now able to race off 54, a massive 25lb lower than whne last victorious and a career-low.
It makes him a player from a handicapping perspective in this class 6 affair – a grade in which he has raced just three times.
The booking of PJ McDonald to do partner him for the first time also catches the eye and Englishman looks too well-treated to ignore and capable of a big run if taking to the surface.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Englishman (16/1 bet365 – BOG)
