Celestial Dawn is back down to her last winning mark and at 17/2 rates the best bet on today’s Hamilton card (2.15).
John Weymes’ filly won twice last season, scoring at Bath good ground off a mark of 54 and readily beating Blue Shoes by 3/4 of a length on soft ground over course and distance off 59.
She also ran a couple of solid races to be placed off 62 and 65 on ground officially described as soft and heavy and is now back down to 59 after two runs this season where she has run better than her finishing position suggests.
The first of those came at Musselburgh where although eventually well beaten she was in touch until weakening to from home and was not knocked about in a race which was run over an unsuitable 7f.
The five-year-old then got outpaced early doors last time up over 6f at Bath before keeping on in eye-catching fashion to finish a 5 1/4 length 10th of 16 to Chosen One without being knocked about from a high draw which was far from ideal.
She should now be spot on to do herself justice, and now has her ideal conditions and James Sullivan in the saddle who partnered her to her last success.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Celestial Dawn (17/2 BetVictor, Hills – BOG)
