17/2 Eeny Mac weighted to score at his beloved Beverley

Eeny Mac has a good record at Beverley and looks worth a wager at 17/2 in the 3.30 there today now that he is back down to his last winning mark.

All three os the gelding’s career successes have come at the track, with two of those coming over today’s trip of 7f.

Neville Bycroft’s charge first scored over a mile at the venue last June off a mark of 50, before following up over 7f off 54 and then completing the hat-trick over the same trip off 60.

He then went on to be placed in a claimer off an official rating of 64 and has shaped really well in his two starts this season.

Both those runs have come at the track, and on the first occasion he shaped as if needing the run when weakening laet to finish a 2 length third of 13 to Thust Control in a seller off 62.

The six-year-old then ran a solid race last time out when returned to handicap company and finishing fourth of 10 to Mujadeel where he tracked the leaders and have every chance inside the last before weakening to be beaten 4 lengths.

Those runs should have put him spot on, and having been dropped 1lb since his latest run he is now back down to 60.

That is the same as when he completed his hat-trick 12 month ago when beating Violent Velocity by 1 1/4 lengths over CD and gives him every chance at the weights.

He also has the services of Adam Carter in the saddle taking another invaulable 5lb off his back, and with conditions ideal he looks sure to put in a bold bid to make it course win number four.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Eeny Mac (17/2 BetVictor, Paddy Power – BOG)
