Dream And Search looks on a potentially handy mark in the 3.40 at Windsor today and makes plenty of appeal at 18/1.

Charlie Hills’ charge shaped with plenty of promise in three maiden runs as a juvenile, most notably when fourth of 12 to Mawfoor in a decent 6f race at Haydock.

The son of Raven’s Pass stayed on strongly from off the pace that day to be nearest at the finish and beaten 4 3/4 length, and the winner went on to finish 8th of 15 to War Command in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and finish third of 21 in a valuable sales race at Doncaster to be rated 94.

The runner-up Safety Check went on to score three times and finish runner-up in a the UAE 2000 Guineas Trial and fourth in the race itself behind Long John and is now rated 98.

The third home Fair Ranger also went on to score twice, and De Repente, Donny Rover, Ticking Katie and Thataboy – who all finished behind Dream And Search – also went on to win races.

The form of the race looks really strong, and makes the selection look on a handy mark off just 72 in this class 4 affair.

Although he did run below par on his handicap debut when last seen in action, that was over 7f on the polytrack at Kempton, and the return to the turf and step up to a mile should see him in a far better light.

It’s also interesting that connections are fitting him with the tongure-tie for the first time, and at the odds on offer he looks overpriced judge on his Haydock run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Dream And Search (18/1 Sky Bet – BOG)
