The big betting race of the day is the Cork National (2.15) and For A Finish looks overpriced at 20/1.
Eoin Doyle’s charge registered his last success at the track when landing a handicap hurdle by 2 lengths last August.
He went on to be placed in a couple of decent handicap chases and finished a highly creditable 5th of 14 to The Bishop Looney in this contest 12 months ago off a mark of 127.
The nine-year-old was then off the track for 335 days before reappearing in a hurdles contest at Gowran last month, and ran as if badly in need of the run in finishing a well beaten 18th of 20.
However he then stepped up significantly on that effort in the Munster national at Limerick 8 days later when keeping on nicely to finish 5th of 14 to Raz De Maree.
He showed plenty of dash to race up with the pace, and after looking as if he would drop out of contention two out kept on again to be beaten 11 1/2 lengths.
The son of Beat All now meets the winner on 9lb better terms, and given that he is entitled to come on again for the run it would be no surprise to see him turn the tables.
I certainly don’t think that he should be available to back at nearly four times the odds of that rival, and at the odds on offer he makes plenty of each-way appeal.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way For A Finish (18/1 Coral, Sky Bet)
