20/1 Folsom Blue the Scottish Grand National choice

Folsom Blue has some solid form to his name makes plenty of each-way appeal at 20/1 in the  Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr today (4.10).

The gelding is trained in Ireland by Mouse Morris who is bidding to bag a unqiue National ha-trick having landed the Irish Grand National with Rogue Angel and the Crabbie’s Grand National at Aintree last weekend Rule The World.

Folsom Blue so far has just one win to his name over fences, with that success coming in a Grand National Trial over 3m 4f at Puncestown back in February 2014.

However the nine-year-old has run really well in some competitive handicaps this season.

They include a 4 3/4 lengths third of 28 to Minella Foru the the valiuable Paddy power Chase at Leopardstown and a cracking 6 1/4 length fourth of 27 to stable companion Rogue Angel in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse last time out.

Folsom Blue made a costly mistake six out, but stuck to the task really well and is a thorough stayer who will relish this stamina test.

He also acts on the ground has the services of Andrew Ring in the saddle who takes off a handy 5lb claim and gave him a fine ride in the Irish National.
