Invigilator is back down to his last winning mark and looks worth an interest at 20/1 in the 1.45 at Wolverhampton today now reunited with Dale Swift.

Derek Shaw’s gelding is a four-time winner at the track on the old polytrack surface, and was last successful bacj in March when coming with a storming run from off the pace under Swift to beat Sweet Talking Guy by a neck off a mark of 62 at Kempton.

He got put up to 66 for that success and has failed to cut any ice in five subsequent starts.

However his handicap mark has gradually fallen as a result and he is now back on 62 and well-weighted on the pick of his form.

This is also his third start back after a 144 days lay-off, and he didn’t shape too badly last time out when a not kocked about eight of 11 over course and distance in the hands of claimer Adam McLean.

McLean has been onboard for his last four runs while his handicap mark has gradually come down, and it looks significant that Swift now takes over in the saddle.

The horse needs strong handling and to be delivered late, and it will be the first time that Swift has partnered him since steering him to his last success.

The six-year-old should also now be spot on to do himself justice on his third run back from a break, and looks well worth an each-way wager at the odds on offer.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Invigilator (20/1 BetVictor – BOG)
