The ex-Irish trained Sinnamara could be on a potentially lenient mark for her handicap debut in the 2.00 at Doncaster and looks worth chancing at 20/1.
The daughter of Intikhab showed progressive form in maidens when trained by Michael Halford after an eye-catching debut when 6th of 18 to Midnight Music at Navan back in October 2010.
The winner is now rated in the mid 80s, and the selection – who gets into this off just 65 – improved on her next start when third of 10 to Kastania at Fairyhouse last June
She then ran well when keeping on to finish fourth of 8 to Cape Of Good Grace over 1m 4f at Tiperrary, and the winner is now rated 95 while the second home Alabelle and the third placed Maggie Nearey have both won races off 74 and 80 respectively.
Those runs have to make Sinnamara of interest in this off just 65, and it’s interesting that she was well backed on her first start for John wainwright 13 days ago when unseating at the second in a novice hurdle event at Cartmel.
That was her first run for 331 days, and her new connections clearly felt that she had shown enough to make her worthy of hefty support.
It seems a shrewd move to switch her back to the level given her current mark, and the way she shaped in her three runs for Halford suggested that today’s trip of 1m 6f would be ideal.
This doesn’t look the strongest of races, and given her unexposed profile I think she is too big a price at 20/1.
