Sir Reginald Brown an each-way punt at Haydock

Sir Reginald Brown looks nicely treated on the pick of his form and worth an each-way punt at 22/1 in the 3.30 at Haydock

Richard Fahey’s charge made a winning debut in a 16-runner contest at Redcar back in April when gamely beatibg Benjamin Thomas by a short-head.

The runner-up has won since off 75 and the fourth home Komodo has gone on to win three times to be rated 91.

Sir Reginald Brown was then far from disgarced on handicap debut in a hot class 2 contest at York when sevneth of 15 to Battered off a mark of 75 in a race which has thrown-up subsequent winners.

He also ran well over 7f at this venue when a staying on secodn to Mijack off the same rating before finishing a distant last of seven last time out at York whne something was clearly amiss.

The three-year-old has since been given a break and now returns to action off a mark of 77 in this class 4 contest.

That looks exploitable on the pick of his for, especially his debut win, and he now steps up to 1m for the first time.

Underfoot conidtions will also hold no fears and with Connor Murtagh in the saddle taking off another 7lb with his claim he looks weighted to run a big race.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Sir Reginald Brown (22/1 Ladbrokes – BOG)
