33/1 Red Stripes too well-treated to ignore

Red Stripes has a decent record at Southwell and having dropped to a dangerous mark looks worth an each-way punt at 33/1 in the 2.10

The gelding was last successful on the all-weather at Chelmsford back in December 2015 when trained by Brian Meehan and scoring by 1/2 a length off a mark of 81 in the hands of 7lb claimer Jordan Uys.
He got put up to 87 for that victory and failed to trouble the judge in his first six starts after moving to Lisa Williamson.

However, he ran a blinder from 3lb out of the weights last July at Goowood over 5f when a 3 1/4 length eighth of 16 to Boom The Groom in class 2 contest off 86 and is now able to race in this lower grade class 5 affair off 68.

That gives him a big shout at the weights on the pick of his formand Red Stripes has won and been placed twice on four starts at the venue.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Red Stripes (33/1 BetVictor, Ladbrokes, William Hill – BOG)
