Createur shaped as if ahead of his mark when runner-up last time out and rates a solid bet at 5/1 to go one better in the 2.20 at Plumpton today.

The gelding had some fairly useful form on the flat when trained in France and after joining Tim Vaughan ran very well on his first try over the obstacles when a 5 length runner-up to the now 115-rated Perspicace at Taunton.

Createur failed to build on that when sent off a well-backed 9/4 favourite and finishing a distant fourth to Mountain Fighter at Fakenham before putting in a much improved effort when a staying on 8 1/4 length third to the now 133-rated Altruism at Cartmel three starts back

That form reads well in the context of this contest and Createur comes into it on thye back of a solid second to Bulletproof at Exeter off 104.

Although no match for the 5 length winner he travelled strongly throughout and kept on well and it was an effort which suggested his time was near.

A 1lb rise for that run looks on the lenient side, and Creatuer’s mark of 105 looks very exploitable if the fitting of the hood for the first time has the desired effect.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Createur (5/1 BetVictor, Paddy Power – BOG)
