6/1 Good Authority handicapped to score at Kempton

Good Authority has fallen to a dangerous mark and with Richard Hughes in the saddle is strongly fancied at 6/1 to take advantage and land the spoils in the 7.45 at Kempton this evening.

Karen George’s charge is a course and distance winner whose last success came in a class 4 handicap at Goodwood last June off a mark of 85.

The seven-year-old went on to finish a decent seventh of 17 to Magic City in a class 3 contest at the same venue off 88, and now gets into this class 4 affair off just 74.

That is 11lb below his last winning mark and gives him outstanding claims at the weights.

The gelding has also shaped well in two starts this season without troubling the judge in class 3 contests, and the drop in grade looks ideal.

His current mark is his lowest in two years, and with the 7f trip ideal and Hughes doing the steering he looks the one they all have to beat.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Good Authority (6/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
