7/1 Cadeaux Pearl can cash-in on career low mark

Cadeaux Pearl runs off a career-low mark in the 5.20 at Catterick today and looks decent value at 7/1 to take advantage and score an overdue success.

Scott Dixon’s gelding is on a long losing run having not scored since landing a  5f contest at Epsom on soft ground back in April 2012.

However that win came off a mark of 83 in a class 3 contest and he now gets into this class 6 affair off a massive 26lb lower (57).

It makes him dangerously well-handicapped, and although he had been largely out of form this year he showed that he still retained enough ability to win a race of this nature five starts back when chasing home Powerful Wind over in a  class 5 contest at Southwell off 65.

The six-year-old kept on well that day to be beaten 2 3/4 lengths by the all the way winner, and is 8lb lower in the weights now returned to the turf.

He is also 1-1 over course and distance, and with Matthew Hopkins in the saddle taking another 5lb off his back and conditions fine this looks a great opportunity for him to get back into the winners’ enclosure

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Cadeaux Pearl (7/1 Sky Bet – BOG)
