Sultanina has some top class form to her name and looks decent value at 7/1 in today’s Prix De l’Opera Longines at Longchamp today (2.45).
John Gosden’s filly created a good impression when overcoming greeness to win by a neck on debut at Salisbury and then showed a terrific attitute to land the Group 3 Pinnacle Stakes over 1m 2f at Haydock by a short-head from stable companion Freedom’s Light after being slowly away.
She then pout in a cracking effort at the same venue when runner-up in the Grup 2 Lancashire Oaks over 1m 4f, before getting back to winning ways in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes at Goodwood where she stumbled at the start before coming with a storming late run to forge clear in the last 75 yards and win going away by 1 1/2 lengths from Narniyn.
Sultanina was valeu for much motre than the winning margin, and although she could finish only fifth in the Group 1 Prix Vermeille at this venue last time out the daughter of New Approach was only beaten 1 3/4 lengths in the 1m 4f contest after losing two places close home.
The drop back to 1m 2f this afternoon, a trip over which she is unbeaten in two runs, is sure to suit and this looks a good opportunity for Sultanina to bag her second Group 1 success.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Sultanina (7/1 generally available – use BOG firms paying 1/4 odds 1,2,3)
