7/2 Faultless Feelings poised to follow-up

Faultless Feelings looks well-treated in the 3.50 at Market Rasen today and at 7/2 rates the best bet on the card.

Martin Keighley’s gelding has performed really well in four starts this season, and desevredly opened his account last time out when landing the odds in a maiden hurdle at Ludlow.

He only had to be pushed out that day to score with far more in hand than the winning margin of 2 3/4 lengtsh suggests, and a 3lb rise to a mark of 119 looks lenient judged on his earlier form.

The seven-year-old put in a cracking effort on his seasonal reappearance when chasing home leading Cheltenham hope African Gold in a novices handicap at Newbury off 112, with the pair pulling 18 lengths clear of the third.

The winner has gone on to complete the four-timer and is now rated 135, and last time out easily beat yesterday’s runaway Sandown winner Close Touch by 4 lengths at Doncaster.

The fourth home Ivor’s King, who he beat just under 19 lengths, had previously rattled up a hat-trick and was rated 120, so the form has a real solid look to it.

The selection also ran a solid race when third of 12 to Loose Chips at Kempton off 117 where he had some well regarded sorts behind, and he looks the type who has plenty more to offer now that he has got his head in front.

To me he is potentially well-ahead of the assessor on the pick of his form, and with Ian Popham in the saddle taking another 3lb of his back this looks a golden opportunity for him to go in again.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 4pts win Faultless Feelings (7/2 Hills – BOG)
