9/1 Suzhou can be Kempton King

Suzhou has run her best races at kempton and from a fair mark looks worth an interest at 9/1 in the 7.50 this evening.

Denis Coakley’s filly is yet to get her head in front where it matters, but ran two solid races at the back end of last season when finishing in the runner-up spot.

She ran a particularly sound race off tonight’s mark of 60 when chasing home Zafeen’s Pearl over course and distance, when keeping on well despite having pulled hard in the early stages.

The daughter of Tiger Hill shaped with bags of promsie on her seasonal reappearance when finishing a not knocked about fifth of 12 Woolston Ferry over 7f here – running as if a mile would suit.

She can therefore be forgiven her last run when a disappointing 9th of 12 to Questionairre over an inadequate 6f at Chepstow, and she has every chance of bouncing back under her optimum conditions.

Another plus is that she has bagged a decent draw, and with John Fahy taking off another 3lb she must go close.

At 9/1 she makes plenty of each-way appeal.

Recommended bet: 2pts each-way Suzhou (9/1 bet365, Boylesports, Victor Chandler – BOG)
